The twenty seven species selected here are only a fraction of those identified by the Natural History Society of Northumbria: It is sobering to see how many rare and scarce plant species seem to be on the decline * The print also reflects recent personal loss. The illustrations are inspired by a book of wildflowers given to me by Mam, whilst Dad was a keen gardener. Both
