Shiny darker black spires with botryoidal surfaces  surround the edges

as the etching effectively highlights the mineral's natural cleavage planes

This pair of points is one of my favorites of the Inner Mongolian material because of its excellent form and super clean coloration

The opaque white mineral is albite and the black is schorl (black tourmaline)
