Antique Chinese Elm Low Cabinet – Qing Dynasty Kang Table, c.1860 brass_vase and detailed with mother-of-pearl inlayAuthentic Chinese low cabinet dating to the late Qing dynasty, constructed in solid elm with a rich, naturally aged surface. The cabinet features a traditional arrangement of shallow upper drawers above panelled cupboard doors, all retaining their original brass fittings. The low, elongated proportions are characteristic of kang tables and platform furniture, originally used in domestic interiors for storage beside raised beds or seating platforms.
